ShareX is more configurable than Zight will ever be
Custom capture workflows, per-region hotkeys, OCR, colour pickers, an image editor, and upload destinations for services Zight has never heard of — all free, all open source, all scriptable. For a single power user on Windows who enjoys wiring their own tooling, ShareX is a genuinely better fit and no amount of polish changes that.
Zight is a team tool, and that starts with the operating system
A capture tool only helps a team if everyone can run it and everyone gets the same kind of link. Zight has native Mac and Windows apps, a Chrome extension and an iOS app sharing one library, so the screenshot a Windows colleague sends opens the same way on a designer’s Mac.

There is a free plan covering screenshots, screen recording, video requests and 15-second GIFs, but ShareX is free and open source outright. If that is the requirement, ShareX meets it and Zight does not.
No. ShareX captures what is on your own machine. A Zight request link is the other direction — you send a URL, they capture their screen in the browser with no account, and it comes back to you.
They stay wherever you configured ShareX to upload them. Zight starts hosting from the first capture you make with it; there is no import step, and nothing to move.
