Freeform Snip: Draw a freeform shape around the area you want to capture. Window Snip: Select a window to capture that specific window. Full-screen Snip: Captures the entire screen.
- After choosing your snip type, use your mouse to select the area or window you want to capture. Release the mouse button to take the screenshot.
- The screenshot will automatically be copied to your clipboard, and a notification will appear. Click the notification to open the screenshot.
- You can edit, annotate, or highlight key areas directly within the tool.
- Save the screenshot by clicking the floppy disk icon, choosing your desired file format, and selecting the save location.

Steps Recorder will capture a screenshot each time you click your mouse, along with detailed annotations describing your steps. You can also add comments on various clicks to add even more value to your captures.
- When you’re finished, click “Stop Record.” Steps Recorder will compile everything into a single zipped MHTML file, which you can save, share, or review. This file will contain all your screenshots and detailed descriptions of each step.
