Today, I am very excited to share that Zight (formerly CloudApp) has closed a new financing round, raising $4.3 million in new capital to continue to build a best in class video and visual collaboration platform.
Zight (formerly CloudApp)’s mission is to help teams communicate more clearly. But most of the time team collaboration is spent in wasteful and unproductive meetings showing something that could have been done in just a minute or two.
What’s clearer than a Face Time video? What’s simpler than a how-to YouTube video? In the workplace, we are.
SAP.iO Managing Director Ram Jambunathan said, “We believe platforms like Zight (formerly CloudApp) enable enterprises to interact in a personalized manner, at scale, with their customers.”
Our goal is to give organizations the clarity they need to do great work, and simplify their processes. Using easily created and instantly shareable videos and images such as screen recording, screenshot app, and snipping tool. Zight (formerly CloudApp) adds the enterprise security and support a business requires. A 30-second video you’ve created for your team can save you a 30-minute meeting.
This new investment is led by Gavin Christensen from Kickstart Fund alongside Cervin Ventures, SAP.io, Bloomberg Beta and a number of investors and leaders for whom we have deep respect.
This new round of funding will help us accelerate the development of our best-in-class video collaboration platform, expand our go-to-market strategy, and most importantly, help our customers get their messages across faster and achieve our mission of helping our customers do great work.
In choosing investors for this round, we looked for a combination of experienced technology leaders and proven investors who could who have deeply focused on customer experience.
- Jeremy Andrus (Traeger Grills CEO, former Skullcandy CEO)
- Karl Sun (Lucidchart CEO)
- Dave Grow (Lucidchart COO)
- Dan Cook (Lucidchart SVP Sales)
- Kyle York (Oracle VP Strategy)
- Dan Caffee and Shaun Ritchie (Co-founders of Teem, a WeWork company)
We are also excited to open an additional office in Lehi, Utah. You can find our available roles here. We’d love to hear from you, and look forward to building the future of Zight (formerly CloudApp) with you.
We have big plans for the remainder of 2019 with future integrations, partnerships, and product enhancements that will continue to keep Zight (formerly CloudApp) the go to tool for both the entrepreneur and the enterprise.
Today is an exciting milestone, but we’re just getting started in helping teams all over the world do great things together. Thank you for being with us on this journey.
